Holland

Yes, this is a very flower-centric page. Several times in 2006 and then again in 2008 I experienced the exuberance and riotous color in the Keukenhof Gardens, just southwest of  Amsterdam. It was an eye-popping explosion of color and photographic possibilities!

As I lead a workshop to the gardens every year now, I’ve put the gallery up to offer just a taste of the exuberance and explosion of color and opportunity that awaits! There will be one on one instruction, creative technique in the field and in post processing, critiques and sharing of images through the week. It is a great way to jump into spring and have fun with your camera! Click here to read the full itinerary. We stay in a lovely 16th century vila close to the Keukenhof and direct access via train to the Hague and Amsterdam. It’s a lovely way to see the very best of the Netherlands. Included in the itinerary are visits to spectacular modern art galleries, Amsterdam for Van Gogh, the Rijksmuseum, canals at night, and so much more. The trip is also timed to see the opening of the World Press Photo Exhibit, and of course there is the world-famous FOAM photography gallery. Yes, lots and lots of garden shooting but we also take advantage of the full range of cultural activities. Join me!Â
