While working in Cuba in spring of 2017, I made the first image you see in the gallery. It struck me that it illustrated exactly what I was feeling: there was something missing, that I could feel…that should be there, but was not. Since then I have been seeking images that illustrate the Presence of Absence. It’s a deeply personal project, but those are the best kind. It does keep me looking, intently, but with soft eyes and an even softer heart.
