Yes, this is a very flower-centric page. As I lead a tour each spring to the Keukenhof Garden, I have placed these images to give you a feel for the exuberant, riotous color that awaits! The tour includes one on one instruction, creative technique in the field and in post processing, critiques and sharing of images through the week. It is a great way to jump into spring and have fun with your camera!
In addition to the Tulip garden, I time the tour each year to coincide with the premiere of the World Press Photo opening at the Olde Kirk in Amsterdam. This is an inspiring and often sobering experience….not to be missed by serious photographers. We fit in some museums, shooting in Amsterdam at night, and a trip to the Zuider Zee and Zaanse Schans. And for true art lovers, I will arrange a day trip to the Kroller-Mueller museum in the Veluwe (Holland’s National Park). It is one of the finest small modern art museums I have ever visited.
Our accommodation is the spectacular Vila Beukenhof – a 500 year-old vila with nine guest rooms. Ideally located in Leiden, we are within 5 minutes of the train station with hourly direct trains to Amsterdam (25 minutes) and within 20 minutes driving time of the garden.
The dates for next year are April 15- 23. The group size is limited to 6 guests. Just 3 spots open as of July 1, 2017. I’d love to have you join us! Email me for details if you are interested: keron @ keron psillas.com
