From an Elevator

While working in Seattle I had long stretches of time when I couldn’t get out to photograph. But I wanted to think photographically, so I decided that I would make images from my elevators in my apartment building. This way, each morning and each evening I would have a trigger to remind myself to look. Over the course of a couple of years I saw interesting things that would have gone unnoticed if I had not been seeking a picture.
